Condition & logistics
Running vs Not Running
We accept motorcycles in any condition! Running bikes are great, but we also welcome those that need a little TLC. Don’t worry if your bike won’t start; we’ll handle the pickup.
Title Issues
Make sure the title is signed on the back with the odometer reading noted. If you’ve lost the title, let us know; we’ll guide you through the process of obtaining a duplicate.
Storage and Pickup Logistics
We offer hassle-free pickup! If your motorcycle is in storage or at home, just let us know. We’ll coordinate a pickup that works for you, so you can keep your focus on the open road.
Title transfer & paperwork
In Tennessee, transferring the motorcycle title is crucial for a smooth donation process. You'll need to complete a Vehicle Title Application (Form RV-F1313201) and have it notarized if the title is being signed over to a non-family member. Remember to return your plates to the DMV. Don’t sweat it if you’re unsure; we’ll help you navigate the paperwork to ensure everything is above board!
Tax deduction for this donation
Your motorcycle donation can provide a tax deduction ranging from $500 to the fair market value, depending on its condition. After your donation, we’ll provide a 1098-C form to help you document your tax deduction. We recommend consulting with a tax advisor for specifics on how much you can deduct—it might just put a little extra cash in your pocket come tax time!
Local context — Knoxville
Knoxville is a hub for motorcycle culture, with plenty of riders hitting the trails of the Great Smoky Mountains or cruising along the scenic roads near Ijams Nature Center. Many motorcycle donations come from residents downsizing, relocating, or transitioning life stages, such as divorce. Others might be bikers who’ve experienced a failed inspection or simply found their passion shifting to four wheels. This communal spirit of giving back to the community elevates the importance of each donation, making Knoxville not just a city but a close-knit family of riders.
